Feeling Off During Pregnancy? Your Blood May Be Warning You.

Fatigue, swelling, dizziness, shortness of breath and heart palpitations are often the first signs of maternal heart stress — not normal pregnancy.

Download this checklist to see if your symptoms match what early blood markers show before a cardiac event happens.

The Maternal Heart Lab Safety Checklist

Check all that apply:

☐ Extreme fatigue not relieved by rest
☐ Swelling in face, hands, or legs
☐ Heart racing or pounding
☐ Chest pressure or shortness of breath
☐ Dizziness or fainting
☐ History of preeclampsia or high blood pressure
☐ Gestational diabetes or insulin resistance
☐ Family history of heart disease
☐ Previous miscarriage or preterm birth
☐ Over 30 and pregnant
☐ Postpartum and still not feeling “right”

If you checked 2 or more — your heart should be screened with blood markers, not just blood pressure.
