About Specialty-Kit Collections
Some laboratory tests require a specialty-testing kit provided by the ordering laboratory or physician. These kits contain specific collection materials, instructions, and documentation required for accurate specimen handling and submission.
Brightstar Lab Pro provides professional collection services for patients who have already received their specialty kit and the required order, paperwork, and collection instructions from their physician or ordering laboratory.
Specialty-Kit Collection Pricing
Base visit fee
Each base fee covers one person with one specialty kit. In-office collection is $95; mobile collection is $150 and includes travel within 15 driving miles of our Winter Park office. Additional travel fees apply beyond 15 miles of our Winter Park office.

What You Need to Bring
- Your specialty-testing kit (provided by your physician or ordering laboratory)
- The required physician order or laboratory requisition
- All paperwork and collection instructions included with the kit
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- Your physician's contact information
How It Works
- 1Obtain your specialty-testing kit and required order from your physician or ordering laboratory.
- 2Book your collection appointment online or by phone.
- 3Bring your kit, order, paperwork, and collection instructions to your appointment.
- 4Our phlebotomist completes the collection according to the kit instructions.
- 5The specimen is packaged and submitted according to the kit's requirements.
- 6Results are reported by the ordering laboratory to your physician.
You must have the specialty-testing kit, required paperwork, and collection instructions before scheduling your appointment. Brightstar Lab Pro does not supply specialty-testing kits. Contact your physician or ordering laboratory to obtain your kit.
